Prevention of mother to child transmision:

The orphanage is implenting the pmtct program in Kasensero fishing village, the objective of this program is creating  accomunity free from Hiv begining with the new born babies. God cares orphanage is implemanting this programe through  teaching and raising awareness among  pregnant women ways of keeping thier babies safe from Hiv&aids transmision, the organisation also is commited to training the traditional birth attendants ways of preventing mother to child transmision when they are helping the mothers on lobour

Nutrition and community Gardens program:

The orphanage is providing meals for all the children attending the school. they get breakfast at the 10;30am and an asorted lunch by 01-2 pm. the menu  for all meals change from time to time and day to day  to offer the kids with balanced diet. The items provided for lunch include beans, posho,some time banana paste(matoke) sweet potatoes and irish potatoes but it depends on the availble resources

The community Gardens program includes free distrubution of seeds of vegtables to orphans families, God cares orphanage continues to work with the community on promotion of agriculiture and nutrition programs. We plan to have acholl farm  where we shall be doing demonstrating for pupils to learn agriculture as subject as also deemonstration farm to the community ,the guiidians will also learn good ways of agriculture.

PRIMARY EDUCATION

The education component of God cares stretegy is currently implemented through free primary Education. the objective of this component is to provide students with with quality free education, uniform,and other basic needs nuturing inviroment suited to thier situation. this objective is apart of one of the larger goal to build a self-sustaining community-based free primary school for AIDS orphansin Kasenseero fishing village and other villages in uganda.

In this God cares  orphans school is an on going project that will continue growing each year. At the end of  2010, the school will have well constructed classes and houses for the homless children or child headed homes, and will be afull flaged school with approximately 300 students (orphans).

Currently the orphanage is seeking funds to construct a boarding primary school at Kasensero fishing village that will be  equiping AIDS orphans with  free Eduction and accomodation and other basic needs.
